Corrosion Resistance
It resist rusting form all atmospheric sources and is recommended for use in connection with foodstuff, sterilizing solutions, most of organic chemicals and dyestuff. For best results it is recommended that the surface of parts is polished and free from scale or foreign particles. This is accomplished with passivation.

Surface Tension
Ø< 2.00 mm: cold drawn, polished
Ø>= 2.00 mm: cold drawn, ground polished with surface roughness N5
Standard in bars of 3m length +/-, other lengths on request
In coils for Escomatic machines (approx 35 kg/coil)

Tolerances
Standard ISO h7, Ø 2-8 mm in ISO h6 (special dimensions and tolerances are in short delivery time available)

Heat Treatment
For high corrosion resistance and low magnetism, there may be an annealing procedure necessary. This annealing is only useful after a strong cold working which raised the mechanical resistance.
Annealing: Heat to 1010-1120ºC (1850-2050 F) and water quench.
Hardening: Cannot be hardened by heat treatment.

Mechanical Properties
Tensile strength :at delivery form 700-980 N/mm2
after annealing 540-750 N/mm2

Cutting rate
50-70 m/min (approx value, depending on the lubrication oil, the cutting tools and the shape of parts)

Stock Range
Ø 0.50 to 25.00 mm round full bars in stock, other dimensions on request
Ø 2.00 to 14.00 mm in hexagonal and Ø 3.00-12.70mm in square.
