Powder melted, hardenable, unalloyed free cutting steel with 1% of carbon, specially designed for small high precision parts in the watch and instrument industry also used for security parts in ABS braking systems.

Tolerances
Standard ISO h6, up to +/- 0.002mm on request in short time available out of roundness: 1/2 of dia tol

Tensile strength Rm: approx 670-800 MPa/mm2 depending on the dimension

Heat Treatment:
Hardening Temp 800-820ºC (up to dia 5.00mm)
780-800ºC ( above dia 5.00mm)
quenching in oil (oil temp) 50-60ºC slow furnace cooling max

Obtainable hardness
64-67 HRC

Cutting Rate
55 to 65 m/min (approx value, depending on the lubrication oil, cutting tools, shape of parts)
