Alloy 188 is a cobalt-based alloy. Due to Alloy 188's unique combination of properties it has excellent high temperature strength and oxidation resistance up to 2100°F (1150ºC). Alloy 188 is used in various applications from chemical and nuclear industries to transition ducts, combustor cans, spray bars, flame-holders and afterburner liners in jet engines.
