Titanium and Titanium Alloy Seamless Tubes

At Aircraft Materials we can offer the manufacture of pure titanium seamless pipe and tube, along with some of the most complex Titanium alloys on the market. These tubes find application in instrumentation, heat exchanger and high pressure piping and are used in the nuclear, aerospace, refining, petrochemical industries all around the world. We have the required equipment to ensure precise production and high quality control and our flexibility allows us to produce any quantity, large or small.

Materials and Application
Grade 1 - UNS R50250 / Werkstoff WS3.7024 (aerospace)
Unalloyed titanium offering optimum ductility and cold shaping, with excellent strength, high impact toughness and excellent welding ability. Highly resistant to corrosion in oxidizing environments and slight reduction environment, including chlorides. Utilized in the chemical and naval industries. The main equipment utilizing titanium are industrial and aerospace components, heat exchangers, CPI equipment and pipes. Link to Main Titanium Grade 1 Datasheet

Grade 2 - UNS R50400 / Werkstoff WS 3.7034 (Aerospace)
This is the titanium alloy most widely used in all industrial products, offering an excellent balance between moderate strength and reasonable ductility. Highly resistant to corrosion in high oxidation environments and slight reduction environments, including chlorides. Offers good Corrosion prevention in the chemical and offshore industries and aircraft construction where a certain level of strength and easy shaping is desired. It is also used in heat exchangers, hypochlorite systems, fire water systems, ballast water systems, industrial and aerospace components, CPI equipment and pipes. Link to Main Titanium Grade 2 Datasheet

Grade 3 - Werkstoff WS3.7054
Unalloyed titanium offering optimum ductility and cold shaping with excellent strength, high impact toughness and excellent welding ability. It is highly resistant to corrosion in oxidation environments and slight reduction environment, including chlorides. Equivalent to Grade 1 and 2; appropriate for high strength.Used in fuselages, heat exchangers, cryogenic containers, industrial components, CPI equipment, pipe. Link to Main Grade 3 Datasheet

Grade 7
The most corrosion proof Titanium alloy offering excellent resistance to general corrosion and localized crack corrosion in a wide range of oxidation environments and reducing acids, including chlorides, with good balance between moderate strength and reasonable ductility. Good corrosion protection for applications in the chemical processing industry, where the liquid medium is slightly reducing. Palladium improves resistance to crack corrosion. Grade 7 has good shaping ability. Used in industrial components, CPI equipment, heat exchangers, pressure containers, fittings and pipe. Link to Main Grade 7 Datasheet

Grade 9
This alloy offers excellent malleability and also greater tensile strength than pure grades. Grade 9 is mainly used as tubing in aircraft and engine hydraulic systems and for high corrosion proof applications, such as pipe, containers, and as sheet for panel applications.Excellent cold deformation with 20 to 50% greater tensile strength than CP grades. Excellent for extruded hydraulic pipe.

Grade 12 - UNS R53401
High welding ability, almost alpha Titanium alloy that offers better strength and optimum design, according to ASME Code, at higher temperatures, combined with higher resistance to crack corrosion and excellent resistance under oxidation to slight reduction conditions. Grade 12 has been specifically developed for the processing industries and it is similar to Ti-Pd alloys. Grade 12 has better resistance to crack corrosion in hot brine and it extends the applicability of titanium in rough environments. Used in industrial components, CPI equipment, heat exchangers, pressure containers, fittings and pipe. Link to Main Grade 12 Datasheet

Grade 16
The most corrosion proof Titanium alloy offering excellent resistance to general corrosion and localized crack corrosion in a wide range of oxidation environments and reducing acids, including chlorides, with good balance between moderate strength and reasonable ductility. Provides good corrosion prevention for applications in the chemical processing industry, where the liquid medium is slightly reducing. Palladium improves resistance to crack corrosion. Grade 16 has good shaping ability. Grade 16 is identical to Grade 7, with the exception that palladium is added to improve the resistance to corrosion. The amount of palladium added is less than the palladium added in Grade 7. The mechanical and physical properties, specifications and shapes are all identical to those of Grade 7.

Grade 28
This alloy is equivalent to Grade 9 in every way, both physically and mechanically, but contains Ruthenium (0.10%), which improves the level of resistance to corrosion. Used in chemical processing equipment, seawater applications, brine geothermal energy extraction, hydrocarbon production, high-temperature crack corrosion environments and hydrometallurgical extraction.
