COVID-19 Statement
The world is facing an unprecedented challenge in the wake of the recent coronavirus pandemic, and at Aircraft Materials UK we want to keep our valued customers and suppliers informed about the measures that we are taking and assure them that we are open for business as usual.
The situation is changing on an almost daily basis. Our priority is to ensure the health and wellbeing of our employees and families, as well as that of the wider community. We are closely following all advice as it is released from the various advisory bodies: the UK Government, Public Health England, the WHO etc.
We are committed to implementing numerous steps to limit the spread of the virus whilst ensuring business continuity, including:
-
Providing all our staff with the recommended actions of virus prevention and protection (including cleaning products, social distancing, PPE, limiting non-essential visitors on-site, and clear external signage for incoming visitors such as delivery drivers).
-
Aircraft Materials has been a proponent of home working since the Company began in 2001, so for us there is zero disruption to our ability to service customers with employees working from home.
-
We have cancelled all international and domestic business travel for all staff.
-
We are in close contact with our valued suppliers, both raw material and logistic providers, to ensure that customers’ orders can be fulfilled with as little disruption as possible.
-
As winner of Export Business of the Year in 2019, it is vital that we are able to fulfil international orders, and are therefore keeping all our export customers fully informed of any developments and potential issues in regarding the logistics of delivering metal safely and on time.
-
As of 19th March, we are able to operate a full service and stock items are ready to dispatch within 24 hours. We currently do not anticipate the need for a full closure of our facility.
Of course, given the ever-changing landscape this situation is liable to change. We will continue to monitor all the advice given by the UK Government and be ready to act accordingly.
We wish everyone, wherever they are in the world, a safe journey through this difficult time.
