Alloy 5183 is a special aluminium alloy solid MIG wire containing 5% Magnesium and 0.75% Manganese for improved weld strength and resistance to sea water. Alloy 5183 is used to weld forged and cast aluminium-manganese alloys where high tensile strengths and/or high resistance to sea water is required.
